This book is intended for 4th-year students in the Electrician and Automation Engineering program. The following topics are covered in this book: • Electromagnetism (coil) • Single-phase and three-phase AC power generation • A brief study of a three-phase asynchronous motor • A study of direct-on-line starting • A study of control and power diagrams • A study of the components that make up all the elements in the previous sections • Maintenance The various chapters are divided into "basic concepts" with one or more learning situations to better understand the various subject areas. Note: These are basic concepts and do not provide an in-depth understanding of electrical elements or laws, nor of their in-depth maintenance. These are fundamentals and discoveries that allow for progression in the 5th and 6th years.
